OUR HISTORY
Mid to late 1950's
A large group of people relocated in Adams County, Ohio where they found themselves without a church-home. They began having church in Youngsville at the home of Evelyn Powell, but they had a desire for a sanctuary.
Early to mid 1960's
Bro. Raymond Hymer donated the land, where YPHC sits now, to the congregation and by 1965 the building was completed.
1990
The Youngsville congregation was faced with a wonderful problem, we were bursting at the seams! The church had grown from its original 26 founding members to nearly 70.
Sunday school rooms were added and the
sanctuary was extended.
2014
Almost fifty years after the original church was built, we are again in need of expanding, as we are well over 100 members. The church has been blessed with a thriving youth group and we welcomed our very first youth pastor, Bro. Zach and Sis. Adrienne Coffman. Seven and a half acres on land was purchased behind the current location.
2018
Ground was broke for the new fellowship hall, and quickly became Sunday school rooms for an every growing youth group, with plans of adding a sanctuary in the future.
2025
With the church continuing to grow, plans are now in place to break ground on the long awaited new sanctuary. God has blessed our church in the past seventy years and we are looking forward to the plans He has for our future.
