CHILDREN'S CHURCH

How important are the children of the generations to follow us? So important that Jesus himself beckoned the little children to come unto him with his own voice. They have a right to the kingdom just as much as a seasoned Christian does.

Every third Sunday of the month, the children take a break from Sunday school, and we bring them all together in our church’s fellowship hall for Children’s Church. We open in prayer just after taking prayer requests (which are just as important), and then we may sing a few songs. Depending on the Sunday, we might have a silly skit, a puppet show, a scavenger hunt, a science experiment, or a craft, followed by a lesson taught straight from God’s Word. We end with a yummy snack for each child. We encourage them to hold tightly to God’s Word and develop a relationship with Him through prayer. Most importantly, if they remember nothing else, we want them to know that Jesus loves them so much.

Our Story

I wanted to start Children’s Church because I personally did not grow up in the church, and I envy those who did. If I had been given the opportunity to attend a church that welcomed me with open arms the way we do, I would have quickly taken hold of it. Imagine how many kids out there are just like me—waiting for someone to open that door. Every child should have access to and the opportunity to go to church, even if their home life doesn’t provide that chance. It’s becoming harder and harder to reach a generation that is slowly straying away from the things of God, but we will stand in the gap for the children.

Just think—you could be influencing the faith of the next generation. The next preacher, singer, Sunday school teacher, or missionary could be sitting among these children. We want to plant that seed of faith in their hearts. Much prayer and hard work go into our Children’s Church.

There is no time wasted or money wrongly invested in the children.
